At the extreme northern point of Sardinia is located the famed tourist village of Santa Teresa Gallura. The little town faces the famous strait of Bocche di Bonifacio and enjoys a spectacular panoramic view of a marvelous sea and the enchanting mountainous silhouette of Corsica.
The town was founded by Vittorio Emanuele I to preside above the remote Sardinian coast, which at the time was infested by pirates and smugglers. With the pasing of time S.Teresa Gallura has undergone continuous changes to become one of the most attractive Mediterranean destinations.
